New Model Inter-Drain Chain Trencher
New Model Inter-Drain Chain trencher, code name "2028NT" now in production. This new
model series will use common components from the model 2028T, in its propulsion and
chain drive systems. On this machine, the super structure will pivot mount on the crawler
frame and swivel to allow extremely short turning radius. It will also feature side hill tilt,
oscillating undercarriage and independent track drive. All of which will make the 3000nte
very maneuverable and user friendly for drainage and all sorts of utility work.
Standard power will be CAT C9. Digging chain drive will be the classic mechanical system,
which delivers the optimum power to the chain, using the least amount of fuel. This drive
system does not have the power loss associated with hydrostatic chain drive and is the
most efficient way to transfer engine rpm's to cutters throwing dirt!
The 2028NT will be 7 foot (standard) machine, approximately 325 HP, at around 40,000 lbs.
Options such as cab placement, air, heat, track pad types, longer booms, will be available.
Future model variations being considered are: rubber tires, rubber tracks, hyd. chain drive
for offset drives, etc.
