Since then, the company has become a major supplier of European trenchers and plows to the drainage industry in North America. Northland is also working in the utility market to supply this equipment for installation of cable, water lines, gas lines, fiber optics and other utility projects.
In 1997 Northland took another major step, adding a second line of trenchers and plows to compliment the existing Dynapac line up. An agreement was reached with Inter-Drain Sales bv. from Tiel, Holland, making Northland Trenching Equipment, Inc. a dealer for their full line in the United States. This addition gives the company a wide spectrum of types and sizes of plows and chain trenchers to offer to all segments of the trenching industry. Northland maintains a good selection of new and used equipment in inventory at all times. This enables us to respond immediately to customer's needs.
In July of 1998, Northland opened a second store in Arthur, Illinois. This store carries a complete line of equipment and parts, along with a full service department. This location, strategically placed in central Illinois, gives our customers in that area, much easier access to our products and service.
In July 2000, Northland opened a third store in Belle Plaine, Iowa. This smaller store will be stocked with an inventory of wear parts and spare parts. .In January 2006 the Iowa Division was moved to a new shop, north of Brooklyn, Iowa.
In the Summer of 2006, Northland opened store # 4, in Daytona Beach, Florida. This facility now has equipment.
To keep pace, our company has the largest inventory of wear and spare parts for this type of equipment in the United States. These parts are ready for immediate shipment.
In addition to the trenching equipment offered, Northland is an Ag dealer for the Trimble laser line up. This product nicely compliments; the trenching equipment. Lasers are also stocked for immediate shipment and of course, parts and service of those are available.
